Masalah umum koneksi dengan Wireless di Laptop

Masalah-masalah yang umum dihadapi dalam melakukan koneksi via wireless di Laptop antara lain switch on/off wireless adapter, ada 2 manager wireless, menggunakan IP Static (padahal AP menerapkan IP Dynamic, kerusakan pada wireless adapter, pilihan AP yang sinyalnya lemah.

Sebagai contoh adalah saat mengatasi masalah koneksi wireless di Compaq Presario CQ45. Koneksi wireless tampaknya sukses, namun tidak bisa ke Internet. Ketika mouse diarahkan ke ikon wireless, tampak pesan :
"Currently connected to:
BATANHQ_6 4(BATANHQ_6)
Access: Local only"

Setelah dicek dengan perintah baris ipconfig/all, tampak bahwa IP yang ada adalah 192.168.1.*. padahal AP menggunakan IP 172.16.1.x . Setelah

Mengurus perpanjangan STNK di Kota Bekasi

Mengurus perpanjangan STNK kendaraan cukup mudah, apalagi jika tersedia pengurusan STNK keliling seperti di Polda Metro Jaya. Mengurus perpanjangan STNK di Pemkot Bekasi perlu datang ke Kantor Samsat Kota Bekasi. Namun jika tidak punya cukup waktu, bisa menggunakan biro jasa. Atau jika tidak ingin berdesakan, bisa memanfaatkan jasa di sekitar Kantor Samsat. Hebatnya, dana pengurusan bisa dibayar setelah STNK selesai diperpanjang. Dana tidak perlu dibayar di muka. Setelah selesai, selain membayar seperti yang tertera pada STNK, anda cukup menambah sekitar 100 ribu rupiah saja.

Karena dorongan rasa ingin tahu, kali ini saya mencoba menyatu dengan pembayar pajak lainnya dalam mengurus perpanjangan STNK. Ternyata prosesnya hanya memakan waktu sekitar 30 menit-an. Yang penting kita tahu urutan prosesnya. Jika kita tidak faham urutan proses, anda akan bingung dan proses menjadi lebih lama.

Langkah-langkah yang anda lakukan setelah memarkir kendaraan adalah

1. Pergi ke counter Foto Copy. Serahkan saja BPKB, KTP dan STNK. Selesai di-foto-copy, anda tinggal menerima berkas yang sudah di-stepless.
2. Masuk ke Gedung Samsat Kota Bekasi untuk mengambil formulir. Sayangnya lupa mencatat nama kedua formulir yang diberikan. Yang satu seukuran Legal dan yang satu lagi setengan ukuran A4. Awal mengisi formulir rada bingung, bagian mana saja yang diisi dan tidak diisi. Setelah dibaca dengan teliti, akhirnya tahu mana yang perlu diisi dan tidak perlu diisi. Jangan lupa keluarkan STNK dari dalam plastik dan simpan plastik pembungkus tersebut.
   
3. Naik ke Lantai 3, yaitu bagian Proses Kendaraan Roda 4 (R4). Serahkan ke BPKP, KTP dan STNK, baik asali maupun foto copy-an ke Loket 1 atau LOKET IIIC, PENDAFTARAN PERPANJANGAN MOBIL (R4). Tunggu beberapa saat untuk mendapatkan secarik tanda bukti (seukuran 5 x 10 cm) dan jangan lupa ambil BPKP Asli-nya.
   
4. Setelah menunggu 20 menit, akhirnya dipanggil oleh petugas Loket 2 atau LOKET X, PEMBAYARAN PKB (KASIR). Serahkan sejumlah uang untuk membayar pajak. Kebetulan nilainya sama dengan yang tertera di STNK tahun lalu.
5. Setelah menunggu 5 menit, dipanggil kembali oleh petugas lain yaitu petugas Loket 4. Petugas menyerahkan STNK asli yang telah diperbaharui (di-stempel) dan KTP Asli.
6. Pulang dan meninggalkan Kantor Samsat Bekasi.
   

Mudahkan, selamat mencoba dan semoga bermanfaat.

Ada satu hal yang lucu, tampaknya banyak orang yang berwajah bingung. Bingung karena tidak tahu alur proses. Saya mencoba tidak bertanya kepada sembarang orang, sebab jika bertanya biasanya orang-orang dengan sangat ramah menyapa "perlu dibantu Pak?". Untuk itu saya mencoba bertanya kepada sesama pembayar pajak saja, khususnya yang tampaknya sudah selesai melakukan pengurusan.

Membayar pajak kenapa jadi agar repot ya? Maklum ritual ini hanya setahun sekali, jadi cenderung orang lupa alur prosesnya. Itupun jika alur proses masih sama seperti tahun lalu.

Awalnya pengurusan ini akan memanfaatkan biro jasa, namun hingga jam 0800, kantor Biro Jasa tidak buka juga. Bertanya kepada tukang beca yang mangkal di depannya, kantor Biro Jasa buka sekitar jam 0900. Dan karena saya ingin segera selesai dan bisa kembali "ngantor", akhirnya saya putuskan untuk mengurus sendiri. Katanya sih, jasa pengurusan menggunakan Biro Jasa hanya 50 rupiah.

Pengalaman Urus STNK Tahun 2011

Pada Agustus 2011 saya harus mengurus STNK lagi namun sekaligus dengan pembuatan plat nomor baru. Karena saya melihat lahan parkir samsat Bekasi sangat-sangat terbatas, saya harus parkir di luar. Dan ternyata di luar juga sangat padat, sehingga saya harus berputar satu kali untuk mendapatkan tempat parkir.

Selama ini urus pembuatan plat nomor di Samsat Kabupaten Bogor di Cibinong bisa lebih dari satu hari. Makanya saya memutuskan untuk memanfaatkan jasa, karena rasanya biayanya sama saja jika harus urus sendiri dan besok harus balik lagi. Ketika ada yang menawarkan jasa, langsung saya iyakan. Saya mengambil mobil yang cukup jauh parkirnya untuk dibawa masuk ke halaman belakang Samsat untuk digesek. Setelah digesek mobil saya kembalikan ke parkir di luar. Namun dokumen seperti KTP, STNK, BPKP sudah saya serahkan ke ybs.

Ketika sambil parkir saya mikir, gemana kalau dokumennya hilang? Saya lupa tanya yang bantu menguruskannya. Saya begitu percaya dan biasa cepat percaya sama orang setelah melihat beberapa parameter inti.

Ketika kembali ke halaman Samsat, saya celingak-celinguk mencari orangnya. Saya sara kenal denga bajunya saja. Supaya nanti gampang melacak orangnya, saya mencoba mengambil tustel yang saya lengkapi tele 300 mm. Langsung saya jepret sambil sembunyi-sembunyi, takutnya ada polisi yang gak suka dengan tindakan saya. Meskipun saya melakukan ini sekedar precaution.

Ternyata ada polisi yang liat, kemudian saya diajak masuk. Ditanya ini itu. Tapi untungnya tidak mencoba melihat hasil jepretan dan kemudian menghapusnya. Untuk antisipasi, saya mencoba mengeluarkan SD dan mengganti dengan SD lain. Ini prosedur standar jika memasuki daerah rawan. Biar hilang tustel, namun jangan sampai hilang datanya.

Akhirnya polisi tersebut ingin membantu saya. Namun saya khawatir, nanti orang yang tadi akan diapa-apakan. Tapi karena polisi memaksa untuk membantu, apa boleh buat. Dalam waktu 1 jam, STNK baru dan plat nomor baru dan amsih basah bisa saya bawa pulang. Saya menjadi merasa tidak enak 2 kali, ke yang bantu saya saat awal dan ke pak polisi. Tapi bagaiaman lagi.

Ketika saya jalan keluar menuju parkiran, saya ketemu orang yang bantu saya. Namun wajahnya tidak ceria. Meskipun saya kasih 100rb, ia tetap saja tidak ceria. Mudah-mudahan ia tidak mendapatkan kesusahan gara-gara saya mengambil gambar.

Menurut tafsiran saya mengenai UU Republik Indonesia No. 14 Tahun 2008 tentang Keterbukaan Informasi Publik (KIP), khususnya BAB V tentang Informasi Yang Dikecualikan, dan lebih khusus lagi Pasal 17, maka area Samsat bukanlah daerah yang dikecualikan. Jadi secara hukum saya bisa mengambil gambar. Apalagi gambar yang saya ambil adalah urusan pribadi saya.

Memang tidak semua orang tahu tentang UU KIP ini. Sampai-sampai saya dilarang mengambil foto traktor di dermaga Tanjung Priok. Ada-ada saja. Dari pada eyel-eyelan mendingan mundur. Toh saya sudah dapet gambar dengan tele 300 mm yang saya bawa. Mudah-mudahan tahun 2012 saya bisa punya  tele 500 mm dari Tamron, biar gak perlu berdebat dengan orang yang belum faham arti dan makna UU KIP hanya untuk urusan foto. Banyak aparat yang masih pakai cara pandang lama.

Tool untuk enumerasi

Beberapa tool yang dapat digunakan untuk enumerasi adalah Nikto, W3bfukkor, sqlier.sh, hping, dan nmap. Nikto adalah scanner web server berbasis open source yang mampu melakukan pengujian komprehensif untuk berbagai aspek,termasuk lebih dari 3300 file/CGI berbahaya yang potensial 625 versi server, dan 230 masalah spesifik server.

Download Nikto di http://www.net-security.org/. Setelah ter-download, unzip file nikto-current.tar.gz. Hasil unzip menghasilkan folder baru dengan nama nikto-2.1.1.

Untuk menjalankan Nikto, masuk ke folder nikto-2.1.1, lalu jalankan file nikto.pl.

Problem with updating My Fedora 11

Setiap kali mau mengupdate Fedora 11, selalu saja ada pesan kesalahan. Pesan kesalahannya terkait update OpenOffice.org, khususnya keberadaan paket "openoffice.org-brand". Bunyi pesan kesalahan tersebut kira-kira :

Pegawai Pusat Pengembangan Informatika era 1990

Pusat Pengembangan Informatika (PPI) awalnya dibentuk untuk melayani komputasi. Namun perkembangan kebutuhan lembaga menyebabkan PPI harus mengurusi Perpustakaan, pengembangan sistem informasi, dan pengelolaan jaringan komputer berbasis mainframe DEC VAX 8550. Tips OpenOffice.org

OpenOffice.org Writer
Membuat agar bagian header sebuah tabel terulang pada halaman selanjutnya :
Blok baris atau header yang mau diulang lalu pilih menu Tabel --> Heading rows repeate

Saat menuliskan angka 4.2.1 dalam sebuah tabel, writer akan mengubahnya secara otomatis ke 04/02/01, padahal kita tidak ingin menuliskan dalam format date. Supaya tulisan 4.2.1 tampil apa adanya, formatlah sel tabel tersebut ke text.
Blok sel tsb lalu pilih menu Table --> Number Format... --> pilih Text

OpenOffice.org Calc
Insert text file ke dalam Sheet:
Insert --> Sheet From File... --> Tentukan nama filenya --> Open --> muncul jendela Text Import -> Tentukan Separator Options, jika sudah sesuai --> OK --> Jika pilihan pada jendela Insert Sheet sudah sesuai --> OK

Pemindahan Mailbox dari Vol1 ke Vol2

Pemindahan mailbox dilakukan mengingat kapasitas hard disk pada vol1 sudah mengkhawatirkan. Sementara vol2 adalah hard disk yang baru saja ditambahkan ke dalam sistem. Sebelum melakukan pemindahan mailbox, sebaiknya periksa kapasitas pada vol1. Hasil pengecekan menunjukkan kapasitas ruang yang terpakai mencapai 94%. Diharapkan kapasitas ruang yang terpakai hanya 75% saja. Vol1 disini identik dengan device /dev/da1s1d.

Untuk melakukan pemindahan mailbox, langkah yang dilakukan adalah

1. Stop service postfix. Ini untuk menjaga konsistensi isi folder.
   
2. Copy mailbox user dari folder asal ke folder tujuan
   
3. Move folder mailbox user dari folder asal ke home
4. Buat symbolic link di folder asal
5. Selalu mencatat proses ke dalam file log
6. Start kembali service postfix
   

Agar proses bisa dilakukan dengan sekali pukul, sebaiknya digunakan shell script. Kira-kira shell script-nya adalah sbb :

Jika salah menuliskan user yang akan dipindah, akan muncul pesan kesalahan, misal salah menuliskan nama yusfida. Seharusnya yurfida.

Karena proses ini akan menghentika postfix, maka proses penerimaan dan pengiriman mail akan terhenti. Untuk itu eksekusi script ini sebaiknya dilakukan pada saat user tidak ada yang aktif, misal di tengah malam. Untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya user yang aktif, bisa menggunakan tool tertentu.

Jika postfix sedang stop, saat mengirim email akan muncul pesan :
ERROR:
Connection refused
Server replied: 61 Can't open SMTP stream.

Kecepatan proses pemindahan ini sekitar 100 MB per menit. Untuk melihat ukuran folder, bisa gunakan perintah baris :

Tambah Hard Disk di HP ProLiant DL380G4

Urusan tambah hard disk di server HP ProLiant DL380G4 bisa menjadi rumit jika prosedurnya tidak difahami. Sebelum menjalankan prosedur, yakinkan bahwa hard disk yang akan ditambahkan adalah hard disk jenis SCSI. Jenis persisnya adalah HP Compaq 300 GB ULTRA320 SCSI 10K RPM dengan P/N 350964-B22. Namun tidak tertutup kemungkinan untuk menambahkan hard disk jenis yang sama namun dengan ukuran lain, misalnya ukuran 72 GB atau 146 GB. Kebetulan server menggunakan sistem operasi FreeBSD 6.1.

Langkah-langkah yang dilakukan

1. Matikan server

# shutdown -h now

Tunggu beberapa saat hingga shutdown sempurna.

2. Pasang hard disk pada bay, perhatikan nomor bay. Ikuti urutan nomornya

3. Lakukan Start-Up. Sebelum proses start-up masuk ke dalam sistem operasi, hentikan proses booting untuk melakukan pengenalan hard disk.

4. Tekan F8 ketika ada pilihan untuk melakukan konfigurasi hard disk SCSI hingga muncul Main Menu yang berisi "Create Logical Drive", "View Logical Drive", dan "Delete Logical Drive".

5. Sebaiknya pilih "View Logical Drive" lalu catat "Available Logical Drives". Ini hanya untuk melakukan dokumentasi sebelum proses dijalankan.

6. Setelah selesai melihat Logical Drive yang tersedia, silahkan pilih "Create Logical Drive". Sehingga akan muncul "Available Physical Drives". Tekan <enter> untuk membuat sebuah Logical Drive. Sehingga muncul jendela "

You have selected a logical drive with a total
data size of 279.4 GB and RAID 0 Fault tolerance.

Press  to save configuration
Press  to cancel

7. Tekan F8 untuk menyimpan perubahan dan tunggu proses penyimpanan konfigurasi selesai.

8. Coba pilih lagi menu "View Logical Drive" dan catat kembali "Available Logical Drives". Bandingkan dengan catatan sebelumnya.




Selanjutnya adalah proses :

1. Pemberian label dengan perintah baris "sysinstall"
2. Pembuatan folder terkait dengan label tersebut
3. Melakukan mount
   
4. Mengecek hasil mount dengan perintah baris "df"

Tampak bahwa /dev/da2s1d sudah muncul. Sebaiknya sebelum hard disk ditambah, bisa melakukan perintah ini untuk sekedar mengetahui keadaan sebelum dan sesudah proses penambahan hard disk.

Ada banyak server di bawah kewenangan Bidang Sistem dan Jaringan Komputer. Ada mail, mail2, web, nhc, repo, proxy (setiap kawasan), digilib, NAS (ftp), nms, cctv1, cctv2, IP BrikerBox, DEC Alpha.
